Soccer Recap: Los Alamitos Gets the Win

Los Alamitos won the last time they faced Palos Verdes and things went their way on Thursday too. The Los Alamitos Griffins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Palos Verdes Sea Kings. That's two games straight that the Griffins have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Zamorah Malinoski, which was the first she's scored this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Los Alamitos and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Palos Verdes, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.

Los Alamitos will be taking part in a tournament against Great Oak at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Palos Verdes, they will challenge Huntington Beach at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Palos Verdes' defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Huntington Beach's offense will have their work cut out for them.
