Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marquez). Their defense stepped up to hand the Maywood Academy Nighthawks a 7-0 shutout on Friday. Leah Cruz was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Marquez has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Maywood Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
