Softball Game Preview: Cartersville Hurricanes vs. Madison County Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Cartersville will face off against Madison County. The Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cartersville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Cartersville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Madison County get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by six runs or more this season.

Cartersville got a great performance from Presley Crabbe as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Crabbe has been consistent: she hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sophia Harper was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Jo Williams, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Madison County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-19 record this season. As for Cartersville, their win bumped their record up to 29-4.
