The West Hills Wolf Pack will head out on the road to take on the Otay Ranch Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as West Hills comes in on 12 and Otay Ranch on nine.
West Hills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Granite Hills 48-21. The Wolf Pack have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Jordan Dillon was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 25 points and nine boards. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Amber Froehlich, who posted eight points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
West Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Otay Ranch humbled Vista with a 63-22 victory. The Mustangs are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout on Wednesday was the 16th game they've won by 20+ points this season.
Otay Ranch's win came from a few key players West Hills will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elisa Cruz, who went 7-for-9 on her way to 18 points and five boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaya Carter, who had 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.
Otay Ranch's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for West Hills, their record is now 21-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: West Hills has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Otay Ranch struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
West Hills couldn't quite finish off Otay Ranch in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 and fell 45-43. Can West Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
