 On Tuesday, it was a hard-fought  contest, but the Franklin County Lions had to settle for  a  5-4 defeat against the Belton-Honea Path Bears.
 For Belton-Honea Path's part,  Lane McGaha made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   ten  hits. McGaha was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-2 with two  doubles and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Ri Barnette was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Belton-Honea Path, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing West-Oak the next time they take the field. Belton-Honea Path will  host West-Oak at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Franklin County will head out to face them  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
