Recap: Paradise Bobcats vs. East Nicolaus Spartans
The Paradise Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of East Nicolaus by a score of 47-45. Paradise has struggled against East Nicolaus recently, as their match on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Paradise still got an impressive performance from Nyah Baker, who scored 23 points. That was a full 51.1% of Paradise's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Azevedo, who scored ten points.
Rylee Gillespie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Nicolaus, scoring 16 points along with six steals. Gillespie is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makinze Massey, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Paradise bumped their record down to 3-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for East Nicolaus, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Paradise will head out on the road to face off against Willows at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Nicolaus, they will be playing at home against Winters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winters will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
