Softball Recap: Millard West Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Millard West nor Omaha Westside made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Wildcats fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Millard West's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Omaha Westside, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Millard West will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Papillion-LaVista South at 6:45 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Omaha Westside, they will take on Millard South in a tournament on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
