Basketball Recap: Bishop Union Skates Past Mineral County with Ease

Bishop Union put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 62-5 win over the Mineral County Serpents. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Bishop Union was led to victory by Kristin Allen and Sienna Fuller. Allen posted eight points and five steals, while Fuller went 5 of 6 en route to 10 points. Allen is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Faye Spoonhunter, who had eight points.

Bishop Union's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mineral County, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Union will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Kern Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kern Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season. As for Mineral County, they will take on Lone Pine at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
