Softball Game Preview: Morrow Mustangs vs. Mays Raiders

Morrow is on an eight-game streak of home losses, and Mays a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Morrow Mustangs will welcome the Mays Raiders at 5:55 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Morrow turned things around against Mt. Zion on Wednesday. They blew past the Bulldogs 20-5.

Meanwhile, Mays lost 27-16 to Forest Park on Tuesday. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 12-6 in the first period.

Na'Kiyra Harkness was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Giselle Turner was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Mays' defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Morrow, their victory bumped their record up to 2-15.
