Soccer Game Preview: Chatsworth vs. Granada Hills Charter

Chatsworth hasn't had much luck against Granada Hills Charter recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chatsworth Chancellors will face off against the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders at 6:00 p.m.

Chatsworth is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to Birmingham. That's two games in a row now that the Chancellors have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Granada Hills Charter had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.4 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Toreadors a 6-0 shutout. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Toreadors are ranked 782nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Granada Hills Charter pushed their record up to 7-3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Chatsworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1.
