Volleyball Game Preview: Texas Tigers vs. Lufkin Panthers

The Texas Tigers will face off against the Lufkin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Texas is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hallsville just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Bobcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since August 29th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Lufkin entered their tilt with Jacksonville on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Fightin' Indians with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lufkin took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6, 25-13.

Texas' loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Lufkin, their victory bumped their record up to 28-7.
