Grand Island has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lincoln High recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Islanders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Links at 6:30 p.m. Grand Island hasn't scored more than two runs for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

North Platte hit Grand Island with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Islanders came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-0.

Lincoln High came out on top against Benson on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Links put the hurt on the Bunnies with a sharp 13-2 win.

Lea Brock and Evie Becher did most of the damage at the plate: Brock went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs, while Becher went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Those three doubles gave Brock a new career-high. Annie Semrad was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Lincoln High was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Grand Island's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Lincoln High, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-12.

Everything went Grand Island's way against Lincoln High in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Grand Island made off with a 14-2 win. Will the Islanders repeat their success, or do the Links have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
