Baseball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-1 to the Locust Grove Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 on Friday.

Damian Gibson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Locust Grove, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodland will face off against Eagle's Landing at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland is facing Eagle's Landing at the right time seeing as Eagle's Landing is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Locust Grove, they will take on Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
