Basketball Game Preview: Central Valley Hawks vs. Johansen Vikings

The Central Valley Hawks will face off against the Johansen Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Central Valley and 11 for Johansen.

Central Valley is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Livingston on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Central Valley had to suffer through a 53-22 loss at the hands of Livingston. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-7.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 43-14, which was the final score in Johansen's tilt against Lathrop on Tuesday. The Vikings were down 32-12 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Johansen, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.

Central Valley beat Johansen 51-44 in their previous meeting back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Johansen's Danna Singh, who posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
