Basketball Recap: Rodriguez Takes a Loss

Rodriguez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 45-35 to the Sacramento Dragons. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 57-29 to the Dragons when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sacramento's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Patricia Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Rien Osby, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Rodriguez's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sacramento, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Rodriguez has already played their next game, a 55-12 victory against Center on the 6th. As for Sacramento, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-35 loss against Vista del Lago on the 6th.
