The Upper Dublin Cardinals had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Sunday. They strolled past West Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 54-38. Given Upper Dublin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while West Catholic is ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasmine Butler, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ciani Scott, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Upper Dublin's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for West Catholic, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
