Soccer Recap: Gilroy Finishes Even with Monte Vista Christian

For the first time this season, Gilroy was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs could gain the upper hand on Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Gilroy's draw gives them a new season record of 3-5-1. Meanwhile, Monte Vista Christian's record is now 4-5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilroy will face off against Branham at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Branham is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season. As for Monte Vista Christian, they will challenge Carmel at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Monte Vista Christian's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
