Softball Recap: Stonewall Takes a Loss

Stonewall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Caddo Bruins. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Stonewall's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Caddo, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stonewall will welcome Konawa at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Longhorns' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Caddo, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Spiro at 12:30 p.m.
