Basketball Recap: Williams Takes a Loss

Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 32nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 79-21 defeat at the hands of the Portola Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-15 back in January.

Williams lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Giselle Torres Salazar, who posted six points.

Williams' loss dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Portola, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams will venture away from home to face off against Biggs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Portola, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maxwell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
