Football Game Preview: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Oscar Smith Tigers + How To Watch

Great Bridge is 0-8 against Oscar Smith since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Great Bridge was just a hair shy of victory and fell 34-33 to Deep Creek.

Meanwhile, Oscar Smith entered their tilt with Nansemond River on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 35-21 win over the Warriors. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Tigers were the (much) better team in the second half.

Great Bridge better keep an eye on Lonnie Andrews. He was instrumental in Oscar Smith's win, throwing for 187 yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. What's more, Andrews posted two passing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Great Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Oscar Smith, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Great Bridge was dealt a bruising 62-0 loss at the hands of Oscar Smith in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
