Softball Recap: Prairie View Has No Trouble Against Northglenn

Prairie View came out on top against Northglenn on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run sixth inning. The Thunderhawks put the hurt on the Norsemen with a sharp 11-4 win. This was a revenge game for the Thunderhawks: when they faced off against the Norsemen on September 2nd, they had to take a 11-5 loss.

The team relied heavily on Audrey Trujillo, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Miley Trujillo, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Prairie View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Prairie View has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Northglenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coincidentally, Prairie View and Northglenn will both be playing Riverdale Ridge the next time they take the field. The Norsemen will host the Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Thunderhawks will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
