Colorado high school football scoreboard: Week 2 CHSAA scores

The second week of the Colorado high school football season is here, and the schedule features another set of top games around the state - and outside of the state.

Three of the state's top-four ranked teams will get the opportunity to test their mettle against out-of-state opponents this week. Top-ranked Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village) easily has the most intriguing matchup as it travels to meet traditional power St. Edward (Lakewood), the No. 1 team in Ohio.

Also, second-ranked Regis Jesuit (Aurora) will be in California to take on Oaks Christian (Westlake Village), a top team in the CIF Southern Section; and No. 4 Ralston Valley (Arvada) plays at Colonial (Orlando, Fla.).

Closer to home, third-ranked Grandview (Aurora) heads north to meet No. 15 Fossil Ridge (Fort Collins) and quarterback Tyler Kubat, who passed for 375 yards in the SaberCats' opener; and on the Western Slope seventh-ranked Montrose and No. 21 Fruita Monument will play for local bragging rights.
