Basketball Game Preview: Poway Titans vs. Mission Hills Grizzlies

Poway hasn't had much luck against Mission Hills recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Poway Titans will look to defend their home court against the Mission Hills Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m.

Poway is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Westview on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Poway had to suffer through a 71-36 loss at the hands of Westview. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.

Meanwhile, Mission Hills humbled Rancho Bernardo with a 69-28 victory. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Mission Hills has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 46.5 points. As for Poway, their loss dropped their record down to 7-17.

Poway was taken down by Mission Hills 104-34 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Poway was down 70-16.
