Softball Recap: St. Anne-Pacelli Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

St. Anne-Pacelli fell victim to Calvary Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Knights. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Bella Mcbride spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

St. Anne-Pacelli's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Calvary Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Coming up, St. Anne-Pacelli will challenge Brookstone at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Calvary Christian, they will face off against Columbus at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
