            Volleyball Recap: Hortonville Polar Bears vs. Appleton West Terrors        
        
		
        
        
            Hortonville won the last time they faced Appleton West and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Polar Bears were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Terrors. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Polar Bears.
 Hortonville was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21,  25-12.

Hortonville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Aubrey Tank, who  had three  digs and three  aces. Those  three  aces gave  Tank a new career-high.
 Tank wasn't the only good servers: Hortonville  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 14  aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  ace total in three consecutive  contests.
Hortonville's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Appleton West,  they are  on  a  24-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-23.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hortonville is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Oshkosh West  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Appleton West will  challenge  rival Oshkosh North  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
