The Philadelphia High School for Girls GAZELLE can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They strolled past Penn Treaty with points to spare, taking the game 38-22. For Philadelphia High School for Girls, this counts as revenge for the 52-37 defeat Penn Treaty walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.

Philadelphia High School for Girls got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mahiyah Azuakoemu out in front who scored 13 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Azuakoemu has scored at least a third of Philadelphia High School for Girls' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Murray, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.

The victory got Philadelphia High School for Girls back to even at 5-5. As for Penn Treaty, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philadelphia High School for Girls will take on Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Penn Treaty, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Philadelphia Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m.
