Recap: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. Sequoia Ravens
The Jefferson Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 39-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sequoia. Jefferson has struggled against the Ravens recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Wang, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Wang hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Hall, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Jefferson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Sequoia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will take on the Colts at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Mariah Flores and Wang. As for Sequoia, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
