Soccer Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Western Christian Fighting Lancers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Huskies came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Fighting Lancers are ranked 312th).

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Western Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2-1.

Centennial and Washington Union will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Western Christian will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Victor Valley at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
