Soccer Recap: Colfax Takes Down Rosemont in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Colfax had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Rosemont Wolverines. Considering the Falcons have won 14 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Rosemont from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kaia Diederichs led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Colfax's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those eight contests. As for Rosemont, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Colfax will be playing in front of their home fans against Ponderosa at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colfax is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.5 goals per game this season. Rosemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
