Softball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Centura's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Centura's tournament run continued when they took on North Bend Central on Saturday. The Centurions walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Natalie Jarman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lauren Suntych, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Centura was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are 10-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Centura is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for North Bend Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centura will challenge Southern Valley/Alma at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Bend Central, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wayne.
