Recap: Cate Rams vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs
The Cate Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against St. Bonaventure, falling 81-27. Cate has not had much luck with St. Bonaventure recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Sarah Cosio continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Bonaventure, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Cosio hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Bella Rico, who scored 19 points.
Cate's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for St. Bonaventure, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cate will take on Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Clara is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Bonaventure, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
