Marshfield and Logan-Rogersville are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bluejays will take on the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Marshfield easily dispatched West Plains on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bluejays fell just short of Carl Junction by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bluejays couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Logan-Rogersville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Aurora on Monday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Houn Dawgs with a sharp 10-0 win. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this season.

Logan-Rogersville got a great performance from Bella Pope as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Pope has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Amelia Booth, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Prenger, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Logan-Rogersville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Logan-Rogersville moved to 4-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Marshfield, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Marshfield took their win against Logan-Rogersville when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
