After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gregori, Modesto was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the River Islands Riptide. The result was nothing new for Modesto, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

With the win, Modesto broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-6. As for River Islands, they moved to 7-9-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Modesto will challenge Pitman at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Islands, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Mountain House on the 19th.
