Robbinsdale Armstrong moved up to 120 from 150 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northwest Suburban. The Falcons climbed the ranks as a result of a 9-7 win over Park Center.
Totino-Grace extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Elk River, 35-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Champlin Park's dynamic duo of Trevor Garrison and Bryce Marquardt proved tough for Centennial to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Garrison threw for 235 yards and four touchdowns and Marquardt had 140 yards receiving. Taylor Abram helped Champlin Park's passing attack out by catching two balls for 41 yards.
Alex Copa was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 84 yards on seven carries as Blaine topped the Cougars. Teammate Adekunle Ayinde added to the ground attack by rushing for 71 yards.
Cory Odom made the biggest impact on defense this week as Anoka fell to Maple Grove. The 6-foot-0 senior forced one fumble and grabbed one sack.
Andover's Connor Wilkie and Tyler Evans have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Northwest Suburban in both passing and receiving yards. Wilkie has thrown for 1161 yards this season, while Evans has 29 catches for 410 yards. Michael Sales from Champlin Park leads the league in rushing with 514 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Totino-Grace takes on the Huskies. As it stands, Jeff Ferguson's team is in first, while Andover is in seventh.
