Soccer Game Preview: Union Mine vs. Liberty Ranch

Union Mine is 0-9-1 against Liberty Ranch since February of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Union Mine Diamondbacks will host the Liberty Ranch Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Union Mine took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let El Dorado onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the The Pride as they made off with a 4-1 win. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Bradshaw Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Serena Tarifa (2), Juliana Romero, and Libby Portillo.

Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four games. As for Union Mine, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3-3 and their overall record up to 4-3-3.
