Basketball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Comes Up Short

Upper Perkiomen was the 52-22 winner over Pottstown when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Upper Perkiomen Indians fell to the Pottstown Trojans 39-33. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pottstown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayanna Hill led the charge by putting up 14 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Hill has scored at least a third of Pottstown's points. Yamiraha Sahad was another key player, posting 11 points.

Upper Perkiomen now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pottstown, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Upper Perkiomen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 35-16 loss against Kutztown on the 14th. Pottstown has also already played their next contest, a 59-37 defeat against St. Hubert Catholic for Girls on the 16th.
