Basketball Recap: South Iredell Comes Up Short

South Iredell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Mooresville Blue Devils, falling 73-47. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-17.

Mooresville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Demby led the charge by going 6-for-13 en route to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Clark, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

South Iredell's record is now 4-21. As for Mooresville, their record now sits at 21-4.

South Iredell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mooresville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hickory Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Mooresville likes a good challenge.
