Basketball Recap: Sacramento Adventist Finds Playoff Glory Versus Sacramento Waldorf

With a playoff win on the line, Sacramento Adventist rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They strolled past the Sacramento Waldorf Waves with points to spare, taking the game 53-34. 53 seems to be a good number for the Capitals as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Sacramento Adventist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bella Plesea, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. What's more, Plesea also posted a 54% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Meza, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Sacramento Waldorf lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zoe Malena, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Payne, who had seven points.

The win was the third in a row for Sacramento Adventist, bringing their record for this year to 21-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points over those games. As for Sacramento Waldorf, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-6.

Looking ahead, Sacramento Adventist will take on Faith Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Sacramento Adventist likes a good challenge. Sacramento Waldorf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
