Basketball Recap: GRACE Christian Starts Season with Victory Against Thales Academy Rolesville

GRACE Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They really took it to the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-21 win. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

When it comes to explaining why Thales Academy Rolesville lost, don't look at Elizabeth Rowland. Despite the final result, she posted six points in addition to 11 boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Niebauer, who scored seven points and five rebounds.

GRACE Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-24 defeat against Greensboro Day School on the 11th. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-22 victory against Carolina Friends on the 11th.
