Softball Recap: Parkway Central Beats Ritenour for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Parkway Central had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Ritenour Huskies as they made off with a 14-3 victory. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 9-3 win the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Marlee Williamson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, Olivia Magruder was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Lewis, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Parkway Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 11 consecutive games.

Parkway Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Ritenour, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.

Parkway Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Webster Groves on the 27th. As for Ritenour, they will venture away from home to challenge Mehlville at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
