Baseball Recap: Rochester Comes Up Short

Rochester and Pleasant Plains squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Rochester had to settle for second. They fell 4-1 to the Cardinals. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Rockets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rochester has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Pleasant Plains, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-12.

Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant Plains, they will challenge Williamsville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bullets have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
