Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Valley's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Shenandoah Valley came into Wednesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 40-34 W over the Tri-Valley Bulldogs on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-31 back in December of 2024.

Tri-Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faith Artz, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Artz a new career-high in boards. Avery Miller was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 13 rebounds and four steals.

Shenandoah Valley's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Tri-Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah Valley and Nativity BVM will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. As for Tri-Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Weatherly at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
