While Lanier Christian Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Skipstone Academy. The Lightning claimed a resounding 50-0 win over the Warriors. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for the Lightning this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lanier Christian Academy's defense and their five sacks. Skipstone Academy's QB won't forget Eli Ayars anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Lanier Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.1 points on average over those games. As for Skipstone Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lanier Christian Academy will take on Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lightning 7.7, the Eagles 9.8) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Skipstone Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cross Keys at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
