Softball Recap: Southeast Polk Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Southeast Polk hadn't done well against Ankeny recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams walked away with an 8-5 win over the Hawks. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on four straight.

Southeast Polk pushed their record up to 23-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Ankeny, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-22 record this season.
