Brandon's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Corunna Cavaliers as they made off with a 44-19 win. For the Blackhawks, this counts as revenge for the 49-21 victory the Cavaliers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Luke Hanson was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 130 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 90 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

Brandon didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Corunna to a completion percentage of just 5.9%. The Blackhawks weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 100%.

When it comes to explaining why Corunna lost, don't look at Carter Milton. Despite the final result, he rushed for 92 yards and two scores on only 11 carries.

The win got Brandon back to even at 2-2. As for Corunna, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brandon will challenge Lake Fenton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Corunna, they will take on Owosso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
