Eastlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Eastlake saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ari Ruperto dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Ruperto is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played.
