Softball Recap: York Has No Trouble Against Fillmore Central

While York put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Fillmore Central. The Dukes blew past the Panthers 15-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Dukes considering their one-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Mira Garrett, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Taytum Methe was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

York always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fillmore Central only posted an OBP of .250.

The win got York back to even at 1-1. As for Fillmore Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, York will challenge Cozad at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fillmore Central, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Bishop Neumann at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
