For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Walnut Ridge and Africentric Early College have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Scots blew past the Nubians 26-6. The result was nothing new for the Scots, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Walnut Ridge pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for Africentric Early College, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Walnut Ridge will face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
