Basketball Recap: Mercy Comes Up Short

Mercy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-29 defeat at the hands of the Harker Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 717th, while the Eagles are ranked 116th).

Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Harker, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercy will challenge King's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harker, they will take on Crystal Springs Uplands at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
