Northwest Area came tearing into Monday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northumberland Christian Warriors 52-13. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Warriors are ranked 653rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest Area pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.1 points per game. As for Northumberland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest Area has already played their next game (against Millville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northumberland Christian will head out to take on Christian School of York at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
